Jack Johnson covering Jimmy Buffett

Jack Johnson’s latest work “September Sessions Soundtrack” has a cover of a Jimmy Buffett tune. He covers “A Pirate Looks At 40″ It’s up for pre-order on his website Jack Johnson.com. It is slated for release on December 17.
I know there are forums on this site talking about Jack Johnson. In my opinion he’s a true parrothead at heart. If you haven’t seen a live Jack Johnson show his cover of APLAF is awesome. The rest of his work is just as good, I would suggest it to any parrothead.

That is Awasome I have just recently been introduced to jack johnson and completely dig his music. He is extremely talented and for him to cover a buffett song just confirms his great task in music. Thanks dlish for posting this.

For fans of surfing…the September sessions is great..and you can get the DVD for about $9.99…unfortunately “A Pirate Looks at Forty” isn’t on it…for that you have to get the September sessions soundtrack which is very good..I just picked up a copy today at Best Buy for $7.99.

If you go to
http://www.jackjohnsonmusic.com
and click on the september sessions album you can download the songs for free , they go straight to the temp file so you should still buy the album but you can listen to “Pirate” beforehand to see if you really like it. I Love Jack Johnson and have been singing his praises on this board for awhile along with Guster and John Mayer.
