From the Jupiter Courier: Jimmy Buffett was named to the Artistic Advisory Board of the Maltz Jupiter Theatre. Buffett, who lives in Palm Beach, joins such show biz luminaries as opera star Roberta Peters, director Tommy Tune and actress Dina Merrill on the 13-member group that will offer collective wisdom and guidance in the operation of the theater, scheduled to open at the end of February.

Ticket information for the show on January 14th in Middleton WI: Tickets, ranging from $150 to $500 per pair, may be purchased through the local Habitat office and three Madison radio stations.
From Monday through Jan. 11, Madison-based Entercom radio stations - WMMM-FM (105.5), WOLX-FM (94.9) and WBZU-FM (105.1) - will hold phone call-in contests to give listeners the chance to buy two Buffett tickets for $150 total. Each station will offer about 20 pairs and all proceeds will go to Habitat for Humanity, said Ray Quinn, vice president and market manager for Entercom.
Habitat, meanwhile, will sell 50 tickets for $500 per pair. Only a few pairs remains, said Brian Miller, executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Dane County. For information, call the Madison Habitat office at 255-1549.

According to www.cheeseburgerinparadise.com, the Madison area restaurant is scheduled to open on Monday January 12th.
Apparently area PHC members can take a preview tour on Thursday January 1st, and there is rumor of a January 14th appearance by Jimmy.

From Rick: I found out this morning (on Friday morning) that I missed something cool last night at Margaritaville Las Vegas. One of my co-workers who is also on the Las Vegas PHC BOD, told me this morning that he got a call from an inside source that it was rumoured that Buffett would be playing in his new place last night but to keep it very quiet. Unfortunately he did not have my cell number with him so I did not get the word. According to my cohort, Buffett played several songs and regaled the audience with tales for a couple hours. He found out Tommy Rocker was in the crowd and got him up on stage with him and Tommy got to sing and play guitar on Margaritaville with Buffett.

From the Boston Herald: Red Sox prez Larry Lucchino, taking time out from A-Rod duty yesterday, told .406 Club fat cats that Parrothead poobah Jimmy Buffett is “banging down the door” to play at Fenway Park. However, the team titan told the holiday breakfast bunch that concerts will be “infrequent” events at the ballpark in the coming years. But is it too soon for the guys at Gillette Stadium to breathe a sigh of relief???

These double CD’s serve as a souvenir for those fortunate few who were there, and a tiki-time capsule for others anxious to catch the energy of a live Buffett concert.
