Singer Jimmy Buffett plans to make appearances for Graham’s presidential campaign, according to spokesmen for Buffett and the campaign.

A recent Flight Deck comic strip mentions Buffett

Here in Rhode Island, a generic public service announcement by Jimmy has been aired on radio for the last couple of weeks. With the advent of the summer boating season, he speaks about keeping the oceans clean and reducing pollution and how it’s everyone’s responsibilty to do so. Way to go JB! Kinda neat to hear Margaritavile playing in the background. Can’t wait to see him at Great Woods Labor Day weekend.

The Seattle Times has an article that mentions Jimmy Buffett’s Maltese: “Celebs’ dogs learn to speak out”
… Babette Haggerty-Brennan, who, with husband Gordon, runs Babette Haggerty’s School for Dogs in Jupiter, Fla. Around South Florida, this duo is known for training pampered pets of the celebrity set.
The dogs are proud graduates of the couple’s doggie “finishing school,” a two-week course that costs owners $1,000, which is no small amount of puppy chow …
But the piece de resistance are special tricks they learn tailored to their master’s talent. Like Buffett’s Maltese, who stands on his hind legs and dances to “Cheeseburger in Paradise.”

I recently attended a taping of Emeril Live in NYC, and the theme of the show was dishes that Emeril has made for his musician friends. There will be a clip of Jimmy sitting alone on the Tiki Time tour stage playing his guitar in a taped “message” to Emeril. He talks in brief about their friendship and his favorite foods. Emeril ended up making a VERY hot chicken dish in his honor. We were told that the air date will be August 3rd on the food network.
