Parrothead Cruise 2004 was a huge success and a great time! The Atlanta Parrot Head Club’s 6th annual phlocking hosted 415 parrotheads from 35 states and 44 PHiP clubs Down to the Banana Republics. We started off with a pre-cruise party in Ft. Lauderdale along with the Barefoot Children PHC with Jim Morris there to entertain us. We even had a visit by Desdemona’s rocket ship, the Cosmic Muffin. We then set sail for Belize, Costa Rica and Panama. Musicians Sunny Jim and A1A came along and gave some outstanding performances onboard and at our huge “Parrotheads in Panama” event. Through the money earned by the cruise and from our onboard silent auction, raffles and other events, we raised [b:6c093c01d3]$20,775[/b:6c093c01d3] toward breast cancer research and awareness!

Coming soon, there will be plenty of pictures and stories on the cruise website, http://www.parrotheadcruise.com. We’re in the early planning stages for Parrothead Cruise 2005. Details will be announced soon.

St. Somewhere, the band with a self-described “Caribbean-Americana” sound are special guests on “Time After Island Time.”

St. Somewhere, featuring Quincy Yeates on steel drums, Kevin Wiley on drums, Dave Sansom on bass and Trey Sansom on guitar all clambered into the world-famous Henry Jordan Studios to talk about the new sound of the band since Matt Hall and Aram Takvoryan have left and Dave & Trey Sansom have come into the picture. The band has a great sound now, but it is very different from the days when Jimmy Buffett played with them in Key West. Listen in!
