Gladys Knight, Jimmy Buffett, Montell Jordan, Peter Frampton, Bonnie Raitt and Mick Fleetwood are among the artists who contributed to the album and concert DVD “Bridge to Havana.” Due June 29 via Pyramid/Universal, the releases chronicle a week-long 1999 collaboration between English, American and Cuban musicians in Havana. Buffett and former Police guitarist Andy Summers appear on the DVD, but not on the album.

Just returned from the opening of CIP in Omaha. The rent-a-cops kept us common folk away from the restaurant and would only allow picture taking from the public lot. The River City Parrot Head Club was there in attendance. Jimmy made a point, when he arrived, to stop and chat with everyone. Cousin Warren was there too.
Enclosed is a link to my photo album. Jimmy’s arrival is at the end of the album.

Billboard.com has a new article about Jimmy Buffett’s upcoming album, “[i:b392a99daa]License To Chill[/i:b392a99daa].” Nine of the album’s 16 tracks feature Buffett in duets with many of country music’s “A”-list artists.

“Buffett Sings With Black, Chesney, Jackson, Keith and Strait”

Jimmy Buffett’s new single, a remake of the Hank Williams classic “Hey Good Lookin’,” features guest vocals from Clint Black, Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith and George Strait. It’s the first single from Buffett’s upcoming album, License to Chill . Aside from recording a Hank Williams song with the five singers, Buffett continues to strengthen his country connection by releasing the new album on RCA Records Nashville.
The new album is being released on RCA Records Nashville… perhaps that’s the reason for the delay, and not the “mailboat”?

I heard on WXTU radio, a country station in Philly, this morning that the Hank Williams tune on License To Chill will be “Hey Good Looking” with all the country guys, Jackson, Straight, and Chesney contributing to that track. The station expects to have the song in the near future.

I got my plates today! Everyone who applied should be getting theirs in the next couple of weeks. I delivered them in the order that I received them but my wife’s plates did not come today. I don’t know if they are processing the generic numbers first and then the personalized or not. It may come tomorrow (let’s hope). I anyone has any issues with their plates please direct them to the Virginia DMV. I’ve heard that some current personalizations didn’t get transferred. DMV should be able to help you.
DMV still has not opened sales to their service centers or on their website. I check daily and when I see that it’s there I will let you know. That will also signify the release of the souvenir plates.
For more information on the plate visit:

It’s been a long process but we did it. Let’s enjoy it.
