Jimmy performed a special show last night celebating the 20th Anniversary for the Margaritaville in Key West. During the show Jimmy said, “You wont here this song on a Kenny Chesney CD, boy that guy sounds like me huh?”

From the January 27, 2005 NY DAILY NEWS: Country Music Television will air an interview with Jimmy Buffett on Feb. 19 at 8 p.m., culled from the singer-author’s recent chat with “60 Minutes” correspondent Steve Kroft. The hour-long special will include footage not seen on the CBS newsmagazine.

Parrotheads can now party all year: Cheeseburger in Paradise opens on Tuesday in Eastgate. It’s named for a Jimmy Buffett song, and since Cincinnati is the Jimmy Buffett mania capital of the world, we probably should have gotten this first. Indianapolis actually got the first one; this is the 12th.

Nanci Griffith’s new album Hearts in Mind releases on 2/1/05 with a song called I love This town with Jimmy Buffett and a song called Rise to the Occasion with Mac McAnally. The album has been out in the UK since October, but it is finally coming to the US.
