Very interesting why he won… He also talks about the fact that the nights he slept above the bar…he was never really alone… The “Last Mango in Paris” album celebrates it’s 20th year anniversary. Tarracino talks about the song written for him, and what some of the words mean…and how some of the words will only be understood by he and Jimmy Buffett.

You’ll laugh and you may walk away from the show with a different perspective on your own life. In the words of Captain Tony, “Eighty-eight’s a lot of lot of years.” He has made every heart beat count.

Another long lost friend performing during the convention is Kevin Mulvenna, Kevin will be joining Jim Hoehn for a show or two…

What is a Naughty Buffett Chick? According to Terri Wessenberg, it is all about being a “sexy, naughty, and fun-loving charitable soul.” You bake it in the island sun and baste with rum. It all started with just a sign. At noon on July 10, 2003; Harriet Sesen, Jodi Kalinowsky, and Helen Madison were in the car on a mission. Their friend Teri Wessenberg was also making this pilgrimage by train. They were off to see Jimmy Buffett turn New York City into Margaritaville. He was playing the “Today” show summer concert series on NBC, and these were true fans. Wanting up-front seats, they had arrived at 4:30 P.M. the day before the concert. For these chicks, it was not going to be sitting around waiting on the party. They set up their beach chairs and went into a pizza parlor, which cheerfully helped them conceal their beer by putting them in large 36 oz. soft drink cups. Read the entire article

Mailboat Records has announced that a CD and DVD of last years Fenway Park shows will be released in June. It will be a double CD and a 45 minute DVD from the shows. Waiting for final approvals from all the parties involved.

From the NY Post: Beachcombing balladeer Jimmy Buffett has had changes in attitude as well as changes in altitude since he bought a sky-high Manhattan apartment. The Post’s Braden Keil reports the salt-shaking songwriter has shelled out $11.7 million for a 73rd-floor apartment in the Time Warner Center’s south tower. The four-bedroom condo, with views of Central Park and both rivers, includes 51/2 bathrooms, a maid’s room, library, large gourmet kitchen and former popstar neighbor Ricky Martin a few floors below. Buffett, whose main home is in Palm Beach, also has a summer estate in the Hamptons.
