I had asked Mailboat Records if there were plans for making a CD/DVD for the 2 Wrigley shows. Looks like Fathers Day of 2006 is their estimated date of release. My guess it will follow the format of the Fenway CD/DVD soon to be released.

From Margaritaville.com:

ALL PROCEEDS WILL BENEFIT HURRICANE KATRINA RELIEF EFFORTS!!! Show your support of the Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts by wearing this blue bracelet which simply reads “Fins Up”.

By purchasing one of our “Fins Up” bracelets, all proceeds from the sale will go directly to charity. That money will be used to help fulfill the continuing needs of the people of the Gulf Coast during this difficult time.

What “charity” will my money go to? At this point, The American Red Cross, because we believe that they’re the best suited to assist in the current crisis. But we see the “Fins Up For Charity” program as a long term solution, and depending on the needs and the time, down the road we may donate to a different charity or a variety of charities.

[b:01f2c73933]Here’s Ukin’ at You Kid! Part One of Two. Special Guest - Jake Shimabukuro[/b:01f2c73933]

This week’s special guest on TAIT is Ukulele Virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro. Jake is a tremendous talent on the ukulele from the great state of Hawaii. Recently this past summer he joined the Coral Reefer Band for a few shows and is now being revered by Parrot Heads and music fans far and wide. He has a new album, “DRAGON” which will be available soon, but with this special episode of TAIT you have the chance to hear some of those songs before everyone else does! To honor Jake and his beautiful instrument this show is a full hour of music involving the ukulele. If there is no ukulele in it, we don’t play it! You will be surprised at the diversity of music you’ll hear…from jazz, traditional Hawaiian, to rock and roll…and of course lots of Jake Shimabukuro’s music, and talk with Jake himself!

The New York Daily News has an interview with Jimmy Buffett: “Storm stirs Buffett

“I was going to go down there at one point,” Buffett said. “But I didn’t want to be another celebrity in front of a bunch of wreckage to tell you the truth. I wanted to stay under the radar.”

Buffett will have a 40-minute slot to fill during the concert at the Garden. “I’ve got some people that are going to play with us,” he said. “There will be a lot of wonderful mixing and matching. I don’t know about anyone else, but when Fats Domino gets up and plays the piano, my ass is going to be on stage.”

“A CREATIVE WAY TO HELP SOME OF HURRICANE KATRINA’S VICTIMS”

Parrot Head Clubs across the world are holding a raffle to help other Parrot Heads affected by Hurricane Katrina. Parrot Heads are fans of Jimmy Buffett’s music with clubs created worldwide. Although these are not fan clubs, they are clubs that volunteer in their local communities “to make life better than they found it while having a blast doing it”. They party for a purpose!

The cost of a raffle ticket is $10. The “winner-takes-all” receives: 2 Tickets to the Jimmy Buffett Concert in Las Vegas on October 22, 2005, 2 Tickets to the Band’s Pre-Concert Party, 2 Personalized Signed Items From Jimmy Buffett, Hotel Room for 2 nights, coach airfare covered (up to $1,000), 2 tickets to the Mac McAnally show on 10-21 & Dinner for 2 at the Vegas Bahama Breeze. The deadline for purchase is October 7, 2005 and the winner will be drawn on October 13th.

The purpose of this raffle is to provide assistance to Parrot Heads who have been affected by Hurricane Katrina. All monies will be deposited into Parrot Heads in Paradise’s Charitable Foundation PHIN (Parrot Heads in Need) Fund. People who are members of any recognized club will be eligible to receive funds from this raffle. Should all funds not be used for Parrot Heads, any remaining funds will be donated to the appropriate national hurricane disaster relief charity.

“By helping a Parrot Head in need, we will hopefully reduce some of the financial burden from outside sources, as well as be able to help one of our own” says Capt’n Harry (Fink) of the Tampa Bay Parrot Head Club.

The donation of all concert related prizes was made possible by Margaritaville Tequila.

You do not have to be a member of a Parrot Head club to enter the raffle. Tickets can be purchased by local clubs. Please see www.phip.com for a list of clubs. In addition, you can go to www.finsup.com/katrina to purchase raffle tickets online.

For more information please contact Capt’n Harry at 813-854 FINS (3467) captnfin@aol.com .
