The Oregonian confirmed Jimmy Buffett will be at the Rose Garden arena on Thursday, October 27. Tickets go on sale Saturday, September 17th at 9AM.

Jimmy Buffett’s new live CD/DVD “Live in Fenway Park” is now available for pre-ordering at Amazon.com. The CD/DVD will include songs from the Fenway Park shows on 9/10/04 and 9/12/04. It will be released on November 8th, 2005.

The Cubs Jersey that Jimmy wore during the second Chicago show is up for auction on ebay. 22 was Jimmy’s high school number. The proceeds go to help Katrina victims.

New York’s Madison Square Garden will be the site of a Sept. 20 benefit for victims of Hurricane Katrina, dubbed “From the Big Apple to the Big Easy.”Among the artists set to appear are Elton John, Jimmy Buffett, Rod Stewart, Stevie Nicks, Lenny Kravitz, Bette Midler, John Fogerty, Loggins & Mussina and Earth, Wind & Fire.

In addition to underwriting the show, Madison Square Garden will donate $1 million to Katrina-related fundraising efforts. All proceeds from the event will benefit like-minded causes. Tickets go on sale September 13. More details as they become available.

Jimmy Buffett came out to sing “A Pirate Looks At Forty” with Jack Johnson at the Tuesday night show in Boca Raton, Florida. Jimmy and Cameron were sitting off to the side of the stage all night. Buffett said that he would be back in Florida real soon.

From Frank: I just noticed after reading the liner notes for 311′s new album “Don’t Tread On Me that Robert Greenridge performs on the song “Speak Easy”. Great song, and as usual Robert tears it up. I hope to hear it at a future 311 show.
