Reported by mookdog here on BuffettNews.com: Just talked to more friends at the show. Actually was at La Vela restaurant, right on the harbor in Gustavia. About 100 people or so. Also playing with JB was Roger Waters and Ritchie Sambora.

"Writers group to hold meet-and-greet

The Peace River Center for Writers will hold a "meet-and-greet" evening with adventure-travel writer Tim Cahill from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Punta Gorda Woman’s Club, 118 Sullivan St. in Punta Gorda.

A founding editor and now editor-at-large for "Outside" magazine, Cahill is the author of nine books. His first book, "Buried Dreams," a true crime story of serial killer John Wayne Gacy, became a national best-seller, but Cahill is better known for his tales of extreme adventure travel.

The center will have a celebrity book sale following Cahill’s talk. Books by Cahill, Thomas McGuane, Randy Wayne White, James W. Hall, [b:2af3876fd1]Jimmy Buffett[/b:2af3876fd1] and others have been [b:2af3876fd1]autographed[/b:2af3876fd1] and donated by the authors to be auctioned off to benefit the center.
