There are some April Fools events happening this weekend that you should definitely check out.
XM Satellite Radio K!ds Channel 116, will be broadcasting Uncle Jim’s Rumpus Room concert at the following times:
Friday 3/31 at 11pm EST/8pm PST
Saturday 4/1 at 9am & 5pm EST/6am & 2pm PST April Fools Day!
Sunday 4/2 at 12Noon EST/9am PST
The Rumpus Room Concert includes four news songs off the upcoming DVD/CD release "LET THERE BE FUN!". The band is smokin’! Here’s the line up: UNCLE JIM, NADIRAH SHAKOOR - vocals, CHRIS WALTERS - Piano, PAT BERGESUN - guitar, JIM WHITE - drums, JEFF ANTONIUK - saxaphone, ANTHONY WELLINGTON - bass

Tickets for the two Friday, April 7 screenings of the movie Hoot, whose cast and crew spent five days filming on the island in July, will go on sale at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 31 at the Gasparilla Inn. Tickets for the showings will be sold on a first come, first served basis.
The screenings are scheduled for 5 and 8 p.m. at the Gasparilla Inn Beach Club. The event is sponsored by the Gasparilla Inn and Gasparilla Properties.
The two showings will benefit the Gasparilla Island Conservation and Improvement Association Inc. Bike Path Endowment Fund.
Tickets for the 5 p.m. screening cost $20. Tickets for the 8 p.m. screening are $100.

I have been asked to ask you for some Overseas Military Parrot Head Video’s. This is in the planning stage and if we all can help by providing some good video, there is a chance that these video’s may make the big stage at Buffett concerts. No promises, but the only way to make the presentation to Jimmy is have a presentation to present.
I am in no way involved with this other than I was asked to try to find people who may have, or can video tape Parrot Head troops overseas.
We are looking for Local Service Men and Woman in each venue Buffett’s playing in this year. Most important now would be the venues that are coming up really soon like Phoenix, Irvine, San Fran and Dallas
They are also looking particularly for local woman serving for a separate video during the shows. I know there are families out there with son’s, daughters, wives, husbands and significant others. Get back to me and lets try to get some of these brave woman and men up on the video screen at a concert near you…

The HOOT release date has been changed. It will now be coming to theaters nationwide on May 5th. As a result some dates and cities for the free special advance screen program have been changed.
APRIL 13TH EVENT:
April 13th 4:30 PST/7:30 EST is a special LIVE simulcast of the film broadcast from the Edwards Orange County Spectrum Theatre in Southern California. Immediately after the film, Jimmy Buffett will appear with author Carl Hiaasen, director Wil Shriner and other select cast members in a dynamic discussion about the book and the film. This special live broadcast will conclude with Jimmy Buffett performing 3 songs from the film soundtrack!
Some cities will no longer be hosting the April 13th screening event. Trans World Entertainment’s 650 mall-based F.Y.E. stores will use counter cards to promote a sweeps to win front-row seats and backstage passes to a Jimmy Buffett concert. Buffett is a Hoot producer and actor.
Since the family film is not specifically aimed at Buffett’s parrothead contingent, there’s no booze brand partner, but the musician’s Margaritaville and Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurants will support Hoot with posters, activity books and trailers. Vacation guide Visit Florida will run a sweeps for family travel packages and the American Library Assn. will insert posters in its magazines that link the film to the Carl Hiassen book.
