An article in the Wall Street Journal "New York Glitz — to Help Schools" mentions a flight with Jimmy Buffett was auctioned off for the benefit of the Robin Hood Foundation.
Among the prizes: $650,000 for 10 power lunches for two with a series of celebrity executives, including buyout king Henry Kravis; Jamie Dimon, chief executive of J.P. Morgan Chase; Viacom Chief Executive Tom Freston; Richard Parsons, chief executive of Time Warner; and Robert Rubin, former Treasury secretary and now chairman of Citigroup’s executive committee. Also on the auction block: lessons with surfer Kelly Slater, a flight to the Hamptons or Martha’s Vineyard with Jimmy Buffett on his sea plane, and an evening at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, N.J. for 500.

Jimmy is quoted in an article at AJC.com on the World Cup: "Trinidad and Tobago scares England"
"It was a great match. We [just] ran out of gas," Jimmy Buffett said.
Yes, that Jimmy Buffett. Two members of his Coral Reefer band are from Trinidad and Tobago, and he said his son was "raised by Trinidadian nannies."
Note: the two members from his band with roots in Trinidad are Robert Greenidge (born and raised there) and Ralph MacDonald (father was born in Trinidad).

Greg "Fingers" Taylor played with Jimmy Buffett on stage during the encore of last night’s show in Cincinnati. He joined in on harmonica during the song "Fins". Its the first time the former Coral Reefer has played a show with Buffett since he resigned in May of 2000. Look at what others had to say about Fingers on the discussion board.
The Set List from the show is now available.
The Cincinnati Enquirer has a review of the show, "This time, Jimmy was memorable" (does not mention Fingers)

Jane Buffett is quoted in the May 8, 2006 edition of the New York Observer
http://www.observer.com/printpage.asp?iid=12757&ic=The+Transom,
At a reception in celebration of Kathy Freston new book, "The One: Finding Soul Mate Love and Making It Last", the discussion focused on finding relationships, and whether it is possible to find and keep a mate in New York.
“We all have The One!” said MTV dev dude John Sykes. His wife, Laurie, wore a black-and-white ensemble with pearls. Beside him was Jane Buffett, wife of Jimmy. “I’ve been married to a rock star for 35 years,” she said. “I got the one.”
“Really, what I would say, to make things work: no expectations,” Ms. Buffett said. “Because every expectation is a predestined resentment.”
The couple was separated for nine years, but reconciled in 1991 and remain happily married.
