The Lectronic Latitude reports that Jimmy took delivery of a new boat called "Groovy" in St Barts (see the articles from January 29th and January 31st). The boat is reported to be a Tofinou 9.5 m designed by Michel Joubert.

From the Lectronic LatitudeThere was a humorous hiccup to the launch, as the boat somehow became stuck to the cradle and couldn’t be lifted off. After some prying, she was released. Once that was done, Buffett and friends, including 83-year-old Marius Stackelbough of Le Select, enjoyed a brief christening, then he went out for an afternoon sail.

From the Miami Herald: Sports Illustrated will take over The Fifth in South Beach for its Club SI party presented by Cadillac on Saturday night. The party’s hosted by Venus and Serena Williams; Wyclef Jean will perform. But who cares about that when there will be SI swimsuit models in attendance? They’re dropping in for the world premiere of Jimmy Buffett’s SI swimsuit video, Getting the Picture, which debuts in conjunction with the 2007 Swimsuit Issue.

We’re proud to bring you part 2 of the 2-part Wesley Cook radio special. Thanks for all who tuned into part 1. Wesley Cook gets compared to a lot of artists—from Paul Simon or Dave Matthews to Bob Dylan, but the artist he sounds most like is Wesley Cook! Listening to his lyrics and his thoughtful melodies gives no doubt as to why he has been developing a very devoted following. His music has been featured in motion pictures and he is the topic of an upcoming short biographical film.

"Time After Island Time" has a very special friend and neighbor on this edition. Uncle Jim Mayer of the Peter Mayer Group, who is also in Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band talks about his album, "Funky as a Diaper." Described as Frank Zappa for kids, it is certainly entertaining at any age! You can listen right now or any time at TAIT On Demand. Also visit Uncle Jim Rocks for more information on Jim Mayer.

The Time After Island Time Radio Program is very proud to present Part One of a 2-part special on Singer, Songwriter, Guitarist, Recording Artist and sometime actor WESLEY COOK. Wesley Cook’s cover of "He Went to Paris," has lead some music fans to say…"Who was that?" The single debuted first on the Time After Island Time show on Radio JimmyDreamz in commemoration of Jimmy Buffett’s Sixtieth Birthday.
SO WHO IS WESLEY COOK? What is unique about Wesley Cook is his profoundly deep and well-constructed lyrics. The variety of music he composes is more diverse than most artists you will ever encounter. But you will find some of his songs to be folk, some blues, some rock, and a healthy dose of beautiful ballads. His depth of thinking and writing, as well as ambition leaves some a bit surprised when they find out how young he is.
We welcome him on TAIT for a very intimate conversation and some unplugged acoustic guitar playing and singing. Be prepared to hear a troubadour you will not soon forget! Tune in from anywhere in the world via Radio JimmyDreamz at

From The Plain Dealer: Still a standout is "Weather With You," which Crowded House released in 1991 and which enjoyed a new life last year as the title track of Jimmy Buffett’s latest album. "It kind of blew me away," says Neil Finn, who formed Crowded House in 1985 after the demise of his previous band, Split Enz. "I like the way he did it. "And I like that he did it. I don’t know much of his stuff, but he’s obviously got a very big fan base. He does huge shows. So I’m really happy he’s taken that song on. Good on him! I look forward to meeting him. I’ll give him a big thank-you for certain."
