The Houston Chronicle has an article on the upcoming show: "Minute Maid is ready for Parrotheads"
Buffett will open his Bama Breeze ’07 tour here Saturday night (April 21st). Minute Maid is the only baseball stadium on the itinerary.
The stage will be set in deep center field. Buffett will enter from the right field gate and walk along the warning track to the stage. Opening act Robert Earl Keen will play from 7:30 to 8 p.m. Buffett will begin singing around 8:30 p.m. and play for two hours and 15 minutes without his usual intermission.
Alcohol, especially frozen margaritas and Buffett’s own beer label, Landshark Lager, will be sold.
Buffett, who has been rehearsing in Austin the past few weeks, is expected to arrive in Houston for sound check Friday. He and his band will use all the dressing rooms in Minute Maid except the Astros clubhouse.
Stagehands and crew began erecting the stage the minute the Astros finished sweeping the Marlins Tuesday night. The stage is so large that the speaker towers are being built outside the ballpark on Commerce.

Hawaiian singer Don Ho died on Saturday of heart failure. Don Ho did an introduction for Jimmy on the "Live in Hawaii" album.
From the New York Times: Mr. Ho had achieved nationwide fame with several successful albums and a hit single, “Tiny Bubbles.” A full decade before Jimmy Buffett’s “Margaritaville,” the song painted an appealing portrait of tropical indulgence that cemented Mr. Ho’s character as an easygoing romantic rogue.
