The Bogalusa Daily News reports on another Buffett sighting: Recently in a New Orleans bar, Jimmy Buffett took the stage to sing the Bob Marley song "No Woman No Cry" and others

We were at a bar called d.b.a. on Frenchman Street to see the band Juke Joint Duo, a two-piece blues-funk band from north Mississippi that sounded more like a four-piece band.
Soon, the band took a little break, but when they came back on, the older gentleman who was right in front of me was on stage playing guitar and singing. It was Jimmy Buffett.
He sung "No woman, no cry," a Bob Marley song, and a few others before turning the stage over back to the band.

A couple of reports were posted by BN members on an impromptu show that Jimmy Buffett showed up at in New Orleans on December 1st.
From tikimon: Jimmy played for 40 minutes at dba in New Orleans this past Saturday (December 1st). He showed up unannounced with some friends and jumped in during Cedric Burnside’s set break. To the best of anyone’s recollection, he played "For What It’s Worth", "Fins", "Volcano", "Changes In Latitudes" and a Mose Allison cover song. The cover charge was $5. Sure, you can fly around the world trying to catch an intimate but staged and rehearsed JB show or you could happen in on the real deal sometime right here in New Orleans … guess You Had To Be There.
From NOLA: Wandered into dba on Frenchman’s Street with 2 New Orleans friends on Saturday night, within a minute or two one of my friends had been grabbed by Quint Davis (of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival) and pulled up to the stage just as the evenings headliners were off on a break. Quint had spotted Kerry Brown, an amazing New Orleans drummer and knew Jimmy would play with the right backup. Quint introduced Jimmy to the audience as Jimmy Boo-fay, Kerry got behind the drum kit and 30 minutes later Jimmy stopped in the middle of the song to turn around and behold the wonder that is a fantastic New Orleans drummer. He was obviously as taken with Kerry’s talent on the drum kit as the rest of the audience was taken with him! A great though too short set, but a nice ‘only in New Orleans’ moment or 40.

NO. 9 HORSE IN THE 10TH RACE: Pulaski County, a horse housed by Last Mango Stables, and owned by a number of New Orleans Saints’ personnel and players, will make its debut tonight at the Fairgrounds in New Orleans in the 10th race.
PC, as the horse is more affectionately known, is co-owned by several people, including Sean Payton, Saints quarterback Drew Brees and Mr. Margaritaville Jimmy Buffett.
Trained by Tom Amoss and ridden by Eddie Martin, Pulaski County is projected at 6-to-1 odds. PC will race against 11 other maidens in the six-furlong race.
"I always go for the nine horse," Brees said. "It was something that was dreamed up in the offseason and was interesting. Now that it’s football season, my focus is completely on football. I just read e-mail occassionally and I’ve seen pictures. I haven’t had time to go down to the stables."
Update: The results of the race – Jimmy’s horse SHOWED!!! (3rd) behind Sagaponack (1st) and Proper Paul (2nd).
