Freddy and the Fishsticks (along with special guests!), will make a rare appearance for a benefit concert at the Margaritaville Cafe’ of New Orleans on Thursday, May 1st. Doors open at 8pm, and the concert starts at 8:30pm. This is a 21+ show, and while there will be no food available, all your favorite boat drinks and frosty beverages will be served.
A very limited number of tickets for this special benefit concert are $200 each and go on sale at 10:00 AM Central. To purchase, visit Blacktie-Louisiana.com. Maximum purchase is 4 tickets per person.

Only 100 tickets were available for Freddy and the Fishsticks. They sold out in less than 3 minutes.

I couldn’t agree more Celtic! FINALLY not locked out of a JB online ticket sale! But if given the choice, I’d take this show over Lotto any day

I am not sure if it was 3 minutes, I’m thinking more of 1 minute. I had everything there, page filled out, review and confirm, then Whammo, error from WebMaster! Talking about bummer. You would have think I would have been locked in on the confirm page. Wonder if they got my info anyway! Scary! Anyway PCola you going to the festival as well?

Awful Blacktie.com. Even though we have a confirmation email and a receipt, the tickets that were purchased this morning around 6o’clock are not valid… What’s the deal? Anybody knows?…. There was no warning message or any sort of notice when the purchase went throught… Now I have hotels, airplane ticket, but no Tickets to go see Freddy….
Make sure you guy’s tickets are valid.

Celtic, We’ll definitely be at the festival as well…This is gonna be one amazing, Buffett-packed long weekend! I hope ya’ll who couldn’t make it to the Freddy show will still be representing on Sat. night!

had technical difficulties with the website this morning!!!!!! Anyone have an extra ticket for Freddy, will pay top dollar and can throw in up to four Jazz Fest tickets for the Saturday show.

had same problems as celtic. you should be able to lock in on tickets then fill out infromation. i think very fishy. really SUCKS. NO STREET PARTY. need ticket master to do it right. 1 out of 3 houston done, frisco tomorrow, then jazz fest.

the ticket selling process did work well to prevent scalpers/brokers/bots from getting any of these tickets. The regular phan had the decent chance to get tickets, so long as you were a fast typer!

I agree with Lucky. This is the 1st time in the last 12 tries that I’ve had success getting Buffett tix through initial online sales. Ticketmaster ALWAYS locks out immediately with brokers flooding the system, and the loyal PHs wind up paying 2-4x’s face for a show. I liked that our chances were better getting into a 100-seat show than a 10,000 seat show. And it makes me despise Ticketmaster all the more. No Service Fees!

I spoke with a great guy at Mville today. He said there would be no more than 200 people down in front of the stage, and Freddy’s family/friends would be at the upstairs bar. So the worst spot you could have is only 30 feet from the stage! The street party will also be able to see part of the inside show plus the big sceen outside.

Here’s a good question….If we have passes for the inside show, are we intitled to attend the block party at 7PM at no extra charge? We don’t want to be left out of the pre-concert phlockings.

I called Black Tie Friday after I received the email confirming that I had gotten two tickets to the inside event, and they said that “yes” we are able to attend the block party before the concert. They said we can’t go into the cafe’ until the doors open at 8 p.m. so we can hang outside until then. I also made sure we can wear our normal parrothead garb and they said yes, that this is not a formal event.

We got 4! Plus my cuz got 4 also. I must admit we knew it all along, and had practiced all week long typing info in. It worked during crunch time. Will only be 100 people. Freddy’s friends won’t be coming in until after midnight for a private party, however, the upstairs will be closed. It will be very comfortable for once. Can’t Wait!!!!
