Freddy & the Fishsticks (a.k.a. Jimmy Buffett and some of the Coral Reefers) performed last night at Margaritaville Cafe in New Orleans LA. The show was both inside and a block party outdoors. Jimmy took turns and went down the runway to perform to both crowds.
The Set List along with some comments are now available.
The show included a guest appearances by Sonny Landreth. Sonny and Jimmy debuted the song “Howlin’ Moon”. Ilo Ferreira also made an appearance and was featured on a couple of songs midway through the show.
Jimmy ended the show with a rare peformance of the song “L’air De La Louisiane” (acoustic). The song was last performed on August 8th, 1997 at the Polaris Amphitheatre in Columbus, OH.

The show was his best yet at the New Orleans Margaritaville Cafe. The block party rocked. Jimmy played more to the block party than to the inside crowd. There was a short runway from the inside stage to the outside crowd. Jimmy came out and played to the crowd. It did not matter if you paid $200 or $25, for this event everyone had an upclose and personal experience.

I disagree Nip, inside was a much more “up close/personal” experience. It was a great show, glad I was inside. I have seen some better set lists played at M’ville Cafe by him in previous years. But it was still worth the $200.

Being inside did provide an up close view of the show although the personal experience was disappointing. The band entered and exited via the side street and Jimmy didn’t really engage the inside audience any more than the outside. It was still a great show and well worth the money…after all, it went to charity!

Block party was the best, Jimmy was hanging outside with us as he entered and exited the building, we all had a up close view outside, Best show for $25.00 !
