NADIRAH SHAKOOR AND A1A LIVE TV PERFORMANCE NOW ONLINE
On Monday, Dec. 8, 2008 Miss Nadirah Shakoor performed live on The Good Morning Atlanta Television Show on Fox 5 in Atlanta, Georgia. Her backup band consisted of Jeff Pike, Koney Ferrell, Calvin Kelly and Chaz McDonald of the band A1A. Musical director/producer was James Cobb of A1A.
You likely know Nadirah Shakoor from her 13 years with Jimmy Buffett hanging out in Margaritaville. Now, she is front and center on stage with her new album entitled “Nod to the Storyteller.”

We’ll see her with the Juke Joint Duo at Lulu’s in Gulf Shores, Ala. for New Years Eve. Wondering if anyone else will be showing up to celebrate?

Wish we could b there!! Also wish could get to the Beachcomber opening, but had major back surgery 10/21 & 10/24..yes it took 2 days d/t complications…so I’m unable to do much of anything for a couple more months. Met Lucy last year & just love her. I’m jonesing for a jimmy performance tho since haven’t been able to go since April. Sure wish he could have stopped by Valdosta on his travels in the Green Tomato..yeah like that would happen lol. In all seriousness, JB concerts/music really have helped my struggle with back pain for 16 yrs w/ regular doses of JB live to get the endorphins flowing! So I can’t wait til I can get to 1 IF he plays somewhere in a neighboring state. I attended a big vip charty event at the dome in NO in Oct & JB was an honorary co-chair, but didn’t show! Had a blast for a wk in NO, but not the same as seeing Jimmy. Still A little upset about that, especially w/what the tickets cost. For some great local charities glad to support tho. Hope y’all have a blast at LuLu’s! Have 1 for me. I’ll b thinking of ya!
