Roger Bartlett posted one of his homemade videos from 1975 on Youtube. It’s one of the first videos of the Coral Reefer Band performing with Jimmy Buffett on tour. Some candid shots of Jimmy walking his dog, the CRB having fun on the tour bus, and Jimmy and the band performing at a show.
Jimmy Buffett, Roger Bartlett, Greg Fingers Taylor, Harry Dailey, and Phillip Fajardo hit the road for some good times and a concert gig in 1975.

The Magic of the Music: The Birth of Parrot Head Nation (Part 1 of 4) – a Four-Part Series on the Time After Island Time program Produced by Paul Leslie and Jeff Pike
It was in the early part of 1989 when Scott Nickerson got the idea to start the very first Parrot Head Club–The Atlanta Parrot Head Club. Scott met so many interesting people in the parking lot before Buffett concerts that he decided he wanted to enjoy the camraderie throughout the year. On April 1, 1989 Scott and about 15 others met at Chastain Park, where so many legendary Buffett concerts had been held. This was the first Parrot Head Club meeting, the Birth of a Parrot Head Nation. Scott never dreamed of what would result 20 years later–a total of $13 million in contributions and almost 2 million volunteer hours.
On Part One we will be covering 1989 to 1993. With music and conversation we invite you to listen into Time After Island Time from anywhere in the world via Radio JimmyDreamz at

Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville Restaurant in Key West suffered smoke damage from a fire at a nearby shop last night. From CBS 4: “Fire Destroys Building On Key West’s Duval Street”
There was a hot time at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville restaurant in Key West Sunday night but not exactly the kind customers were hoping for.
Key West Fire spokeswoman Alyson Crean said a fire broke out in a small building between the restaurant and the historic San Carlos Institute and theater on Duval Street around 10:00 p.m. Firefighters evacuated the restaurant and the nearby guest houses as they worked to control the flames which had completely engulfed the building where the fire broke out.
Within two hours fire crews from the Key West Fire Department, the Key West International Airport and from Key West’s Naval Air Station had the fire out. They say the three businesses located in the burned out structure were a complete loss; a crepe shop, an art gallery and a sign shop.
Both the Jimmy Buffett owned Margaritaville restaurant and the San Carlos Institute and theater suffered smoke damage, according to Crean.
Margaritaville Café manager Ray Masiero hopes the eatery can reopen Monday afternoon or evening. He said there was some water impact and damage to skylights, but thought repairs could be executed quickly.
Update from the Miami Herald: “Fire spares Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville“
