The festival is Aug 1-2. the 3rd is a monday. I am hoping its the 2nd. would make a nice weekend trip.

My only complaint about last years appearance is that I was hoping for more solo acoustic material from Jimmy. But it was a beautiful day and a great venue to see him in.

Not gonna happen. Buffett headlined last year’s festival, but the lineup is leaning more traditional wit Joan Baez and Pete Seeger. Whoever posted this is reading a 2008 post.

Logistically, the date fits. The tour is on a break from the end of June (in Mansfield) until the end of the first week in August (in Ohio). Does that mean the date is a definate? Nah. But Jimmy talked about how much he enjoyed playing there last year, so it’s not out of the question.

Jimmy only plays Jazzfest every other year his next appearance will be 2010

I hope Jake comes back. He packed a side stage last year and put on an amazing show. I was disappointed that Jimmy played the usual fare and didn’t return to his folk roots. Would still love to see him play there again. It’s a great venue and a great weekend of music

Does anyone know where this information came from? He said that he liked playing there last year and said he wanted to come back again. I hope it’s true!!
