Jimmy Buffett was in a recording studio in Nashville on Wednesday according to a Tweet from Tommy Womack. No word yet on what Womack song Buffett recorded.
Tommy Womack: I just spent an hour in a recording studio watching Jimmy Buffet record my song. God is good.
(thanks to a1aara for passing that along to us)

I just saw that at http://www.tickets-for-charity.com you can get INCREDIBLE tickets all at FACE VALUE for their upcoming concert on the 25th in Boston. The best part? When you buy tickets you’re automatically donating to charity!! What could be better?

Funny….I don’t remember seeing a track list for the new cd…Maybe because it is a work in progress??? Just because he has been playing some new songs at the concert does not mean they will end up on the cd. But….if you don’t like it….then don’t buy it.

I just read Will Kimbrough’s blog that says he was also in the studio with Jimmy Buffett at the Blackbird Studio (owned by John and Martina McBride)
A little bit about the studio

Will says he will also be with Jimmy and the Coral Reefers in London on July 5.
“I will be joining Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band in London for recording sessions and a show at Shepherd’s Bush Empire July 5th. I will be joining Rodney Crowell and Jedd Hughes in London and Newcastle for shows July 25 and 28.”

I disagree with the plastic music comment. Jimmy has always found the music and songwriting of former Coral Reefers and friends to suit his taste and many of ours too.
See Tommy Womack performing with Marshall Chapman and Tim Krekel–two former Coral Reefers.
