The Tri-City Herald has an article on the failed deal between Coastal Marina and Trump Entertainment Resorts: “Ex-buyer sues Trump casinos for failed Marina deal”
A company that once intended to buy the Trump Marina Hotel Casino is suing Trump Entertainment Resorts for $17 million.
Coastal Marina LLC, a New York company owned by a former protege of Donald Trump, claims the company allowed the property to fall into disrepair and diverted customers to other Trump casinos.
Coastal intended to partner with singer Jimmy Buffett to rebrand the struggling casino as “Margaritaville.”

“The Deck” is in better shape than the entire Trump Marino Hotel/Casino. What a dump that property has become over the years. Vacationers from all over the U.S. spent their hard earned money to find themselves at a hotel/casino that any resident of Atlantic County or South Jersey region could have told them to look elsewhere. We had such high hopes thinking that Coastal was going to rehab the entire property! With the competition of newly established casino’s throughout the Northeast, Atlantic City could have set itself apart by having a “Margaritaville” themed hotel/casino. For the record, Trump Taj Mahal and Trump Plaza are the other dinosaurs that need a total makeover. That’s Trump….TOTAL CRAP!
As long as his dumb name is on the side of that crappy building, I will blame him. Donald….if you don’t wanna take the blame then TAKE YOUR NAME OFF THE CRAPPY BUILDING!!! And….
Just remember Donald….
Jimmy Buffett wrote a song and made a fortune. YOU wrote a book and LOST a fortune!
Go get’em Coastal!! You have the support of South Jersey and Parrotheads throughout the USA….YOU CAN BET ON IT!!!
