A couple of changes to the set list included “Frank And Lola” (with John Lovell) and “Nobody from Nowhere“. Ilo Ferreira was a special guest for the show and he sang the song “Let Me Love You“. The show ended with Jimmy doing an acoustic version of “Lovely Criuse“.

At Verizon Wireless Music Center on Tuesday, Buffett at least played new songs to distinguish this year’s show from 2008′s.
Most notable was the timely and topical “A Lot to Drink About” — a folksy shuffle based on yachts and luxury automobiles lost in the economic downturn. The lyrics aim a dart for Bernie Madoff, noting his clients are left to self-medicate with “stinkweed.”

Mac McAnally is a country music singer-songwriter, an in-demand session musician and record producer. McAnally’s credits are numerous. In the Spring of 2009, country superstar Kenny Chesney cut Mac McAnally’s song “Down the Road” as a duet with McAnally. Chesney’s version of the song became McAnally’s first number one song as a recording artist and his sixth as a songwriter. McAnally has also produced artists like Ricky Skaggs, Chris LeDoux, the bands Little Feat and Sawyer Brown as well as Jimmy Buffett. Mac McAnally has been a member and fan favorite of Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band for many years, writing and co-writing many of Buffett’s best songs.

Joe Perry from Aerosmith joined in on Margaritaville during the lost verse. Ilo Ferreira and Jake Shimabukuro were also special guests for the show.
The show ended with Jimmy doing an acoustic version of “He Went to Paris“.
Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band played on Thursday August 6th at the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati OH as part of the 2009 Summerzcool Tour. The show marked Buffett’s 22nd consecutive sold-out show at the venue.

Ilo Ferriria and Greg Morrow were special guests for the show and contributed to several songs. Ilo sang lead vocals on the song “Home Again“.
The Margaritavision Special Announcement that was recorded with Walter Cronkite aired during the show. Peter Mayer sang lead on the song “Rocky Raccoon” (last played on October 13, 2001 in East Hampton NY). The show ended with Jimmy doing an acoustic version of “Tin Cup Chalice“.

“Welcome to the August session of ‘Summerzcool,’ Cincinnati-style,” Buffett shouted, before doing some arithmetic about the history of his shows in town. “Twenty-two years, 42 shows, 700,000 people later, we’re still the clunkers you can’t turn in.”
Buffett, 62, is typically Cincinnati-referential at his Riverbend shows, but at this one he was even more so. He repeatedly mentioned his “coming here for 22 years.” In the song “Manana,” he changed the line about “hanging out in a marina when Steve Martin called” to “hanging out in Mount Adams when Bronson Arroyo called.”
