I’d just like to say a huge thanks to everyone who said Hi to me and my friend Andrew (the two Scottish guys with the Inflatable palm tree and the inflatable Aliparrott). We had a great time a La Cigale last Saturday.Great Gig!
Jimmy, why don’t you put a Scottish gig on your itinery for 2010, theirs lots of Scottish Parrotheads who would love to give you the renowned Scottish Welcome.

Fit like,
Couldn’t agree more with Stuart’s request for a gig in the Scottish capital, Edinburgh.
Also interested to learn if any of Jimmy’s UK fans used to subscribe to Mike Gibb’s excellent Scottish based Buffett fanzine Manana in the 70′ and 80’s.

I was lucky to be right at the front so got a bird’s eye view. I have loads more but only published what i thought was the best..
What a great night we had and i consider myself so lucky to get that close and meet Jimmy afterwards. I could never afford to go to the US shows and am grateful that Jimmy is enjoying doing Paris and London.

Tell me more about MANANA
October 5th, 2009 at 10:50 am
Hi Bwana Paul,
Manana was a Buffett inspired quarterly 10 page fanzine based in Scotland produced by Mike Gibb in Aberdeen who got due credit on sleeve of UK issue of Volcano. It contained reviews of Buffett albums from White Sports Coat through to Banana Wind plus Buffet news. Also featured articles on many songwriters that Buffett covered. Steve Goodman, Jerry Jeff Walker, Jessie Winchester, Mac Macanally etc plus lots more besides. The arrival of the Internet and websites etc saw the sad demise of Manana in the late 80’s . But Jimmy’s Scottish fan base has remained loyal solid whilst growing older but not up!
