Jimmy Buffett played to a sold out crowd at Bloody Mary’s on the island of Bora Bora, Tahiti last night. With him were Reefers Mac McAnally, and Robert Greenidge. It had been 28 years since Jimmy last played the club, when he was in Tahiti recording the album One Particular Harbour. To commemorate that history a Tahitian choir joined Jimmy onstage for the title track. It was magic. The club’s capacity was about 88. Jimmy will play a second show at Bloody’s on Saturday night. The shows are a fundraiser to build a playground for local school. (thanks to Stanton for passing this along to us)
Some of the songs played:
Chanson Pour Les Petites Enfants
California Promises
Why You Wanna Hurt My Heart
I Used To Have Money One Time
Cowboy In The Jungle
I’m Growing Older But Not Up
Some Enchanted Evening (From South Pacific)

Easily the best set-list in a while. Hope it carries over for the Jax show.
