Jimmy performed a free concert on Friday night at his restaurant Jimmy Buffett’s At The Beachcomber, which opened last February at the Ohana Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel.

Radio Margaritaville deejay JD Spradlin interviewed the Beachcomber manager today. They expected Jimmy to play 4 or 5 songs but he ended up played an hour and 45 minutes. He was joined by Mac McAnally, Robert Greenidge, and Jake Shimabukuro. Jake Shikamburu opened the show with a few songs and then Jimmy came on.
If you went to the show or have more details send them along to info@buffettnews.com
Update: Darrell West has posted some photos and a video on his Darrells Hawaii Blog.

Jimmy Buffett had dinner with sports broadcaster / NFL runningback Ed Podolak. One article mentions Buffett will be in Tahiti during the Orange Bowl (on Tuesday January 5th)
“Ed Podolak is at the Orange Bowl, and that’s a good thing for Hawkeye fans everywhere”
While here, Podolak will have a reunion with old friend Jimmy Buffett.
”We Are the People Our Parents Warned Us About” is a 1983 song Buffett said he wrote about Podolak, but Buffett’s mother said she wasn’t fooled, and that the song was really about her son.
Coincidentally, the Orange Bowl will be played in Land Shark Stadium. Land Shark is made by Buffett’s Margaritaville Brewing Company.
Buffett will be in Tahiti during the Orange Bowl because “He didn’t think the Hawkeyes would be playing in it,” Podolak said.
“Orange Bowl, Day 4: Podolak’s bunking on a boat — and dining with Buffett”
Well, not a boat, exactly — a motor yacht near Fort Lauderdale Beach, courtesy of an old pal at a local boat company. And speaking of old pals, the Saturday night itinerary for the former Iowa star-turned-analyst was slated to include a dinner with music icon Jimmy Buffett.
Podolak said Buffett wasn’t staying for Tuesday night’s Orange Bowl at Land Shark Stadium, a building that — for now — boasts Buffet’s Land Shark Lager as its title sponsor.
“He scheduled over the Orange Bowl,” Podolak explained.
