The rumors were finally confirmed on Thursday. Jimmy Buffett is bringing his Margaritaville restaurant chain to Nashville.
Is there a chance you’ll give a surprise performance at the Nashville Margaritaville?
“There’s always that chance. Let’s just say the track record, if you look back, I think I’ve played every one of them. The only one I haven’t played in is Panama City, and I’m going to do that pretty soon. I’ve got to do it when I come in and out. And it’s fun. It’s fun to have people you see there and to go back and do them. I was a bar player from the beginning, and I still kind of think of myself as a bar player.”

Is there any chance of Buffett playing at Memphis in May since he will be in the vicinity??

We were in Jimmy’s old stompin’ grounds-Hattiesburg, MS-Saturday when the tickets went on sale for the Nashville show-We live in Mississippi and went to work on a Habitat house. We took my laptop (didn’t want to miss the tickets going on sale at 10am) and tried to get online- well if anything can go wrong-it did-couldn’t connect to the internet; I had to jump in the car and find a spot to get a good internet connection, happening to go close to the ‘Mini Mart’ and finally got connection to buy some tickets. But by the time I got online, the tickets weren’t that great. But I guess it’s better to be there, up high in the rafters, than not. We love Jimmy, he’s one of our home boys and we really want to see him and celebrate with him and all the Parrotheads.
The Byrd’s are gonna be there with binoculars!!!!!

If Jimmy plays at Margaritaville in PCB in May when we’re down there, it’ll be the best anniversary gift a couple could ask for. My husband and I live in Ohio, but had a beach wedding in PCB on 5/10/07. We go down there every year for 2 weeks for our anniversary. We were absolutely thrilled when the Margaritaville opened down there a couple years ago.
C’mon Jimmy, please do the show in May!
