From CMT “Jimmy Buffett, Zac Brown Band Reach Fever Pitch“: Just ahead of Friday’s (March 19) premiere of CMT Crossroads: Jimmy Buffett and Zac Brown Band, check out their enthusiastic collaboration on “Free/Into the Mystic.” Brown often performs a medley of his “Free” and Van Morrison’s classic “Into the Mystic” in concert, but here it takes on a giant new fullness with the addition of Buffett and his Coral Reefer Band. As the easygoing song swells to truly epic proportions, the two groups reach a collaborative fever pitch just as the country/jam rock/reggae mix peaks. Since both bands are used to that mix — with one foot on the beach and one in a pine forest — this could be one of the most natural Crossroads pairings yet.

This is some of the best and genuine I have heard Jimmy in years. This style in an album could bring Jimmy a whole new breath of life taking him beyond “its 5 oclock somewhere”. Sorry jimmy we are not done with you yet!
Jimmy with Zac, Jack Johnson, Ben Folds….ect.

Definitely one for the record books. Jimmy and Zac all the coral reefers and the ZB band…Absolutely amazing. Hope the rest of the show is just as awesome as Free/Into the Mystic is. I love this track from Bonnaroo, and this one just blows it away! Zac, hope you are making a guest appearance with Jimmy in ATL on 4/27…
a brother knight (and pirate!)

My daughter saw Zac Brown do this medley live. She said it brought tears. Then she said after watching Jimmy and Zac do it, it made her cry! This was a classic performance and should received some kind of award. You will her more of from this duet.

I hope CMT releases this on DVD, but they usually don’t. The only Crossroads DVD CMT has released is Taylor Swift/Def Leppard, but this one should definitely be in stores. However, I won’t hold my breath.
