From PalmBeachDailyNews.com: “Jimmy Buffett home buyer is billionaire neighbor Jon Stryker”
The billionaire next door, Jon Stryker, purchased Jane and Jimmy Buffett’s 540 S. Ocean Blvd. house.
The $18.5 million transaction took place without real estate broker involvement, according to a source close to the Buffetts who confirmed Stryker as the buyer of the property.
On the deed, filed in the Palm Beach County Courthouse on June 3, the buyer is listed as Via Marina LLC, a Delaware company with offices in New York City.
The source, who has handled real-estate transactions for the Buffetts for many years, said Stryker had insisted on keeping his identity confidential from the time the deal was initiated earlier this year.

I was going to buy it, but Jimmy won’t fix the upstairs toilet.
I hear Jimmy’s neighbor goes by the name of crawfish…

Apparently Jimmy has/had two homes in Palm Beach. He sold one, still has the other.

I understand the importance of wanting to make a successful and confidential real estate transaction. Many people on Palm Beach Island prefer their privacy.
