Happy 65th, Jimmy. Now you can get all those senior discounts and free cups of coffee;) Seriously, I’ve seen you in concert so many times, I’ve lost count. Used to see you wander in the Tradewinds in St.Auggie and a bar in Jacksonville, FL that I can’t remember the name for some reason. Maybe it was the Bahama Blues we were all consuming mass quantities of. Keep on making that great music and as the song goes, “you’re growing older but not up.” Words of wisdom to live by. I know that’s what I do and you were my inspiration. Many more happy birthdays and Merry Christmas. Here’s hoping 2012 will be the best year ever! Keep telling those wonderful stories. Hope you’re still writing, playing and singing when you’re 80. Rock on, Dude!

December 27th, 2011 at 1:17 pm
Happy belated birthday Jimmy. Thank you for all of the things you didn’t even know you did.
Your music, your stories, your adventures……they are what keep many of us going each day. The realization that most times we’ll never be able to see and do what you do can be disheartening, but your presentation of the times you spend allow us to be there in mind. Hopefully one day, I’ll make it to those beautiful places. I’ve made it to the Keys and love it. Hopefully the rest of the world will follow.
Love you, the Reefers and all of what the Parrotheads stand for.
Merry Christmas, Happy Birthday and Happy New Years with many, many more to come.
