The guy was playing in bars and had some luck with a song in a song writers competition….the song got to Buffett…he liked it…and he gave him a record deal….he’s not famous…and he’s not touring arenas…other than the couple of times he was invited to step on stage with Buffett…he is still playing bars, and house concerts. Did he get lucky? Yes…that’s how it happens…the right person at the right time hears your song…and it gets to the right people. It’s not even close to the American Idol model for music careers…it’s the classic the right person at the right time heard your song.

He wrote a song that caught Buffetts attention..I’m sure Buffett listened to some other songs…liked what he heard and gave him a chance. That’s how it happens…somebody hears your song…likes it..and gives you a chance…As far as I know he is still playing in bars….not selling out 20,000 seat arenas. So I don’t know why you are bashing him…if you don’t like his music then don’t buy it….
