Buffett’s fans, better known as Parrotheads, didn’t let a little wet weather deter them when it came to seeing the “Margaritaville” singer live Friday. Wherever he goes, the feeling of sun, fun and island life are never far behind.
The singer and his Coral Reefer Band are hitting the road for their “I Don’t Know” tour, and they won’t stop until the season is over. And after that, Buffett’s still not slowing down. The 69-year-old has a holiday album in the works that will be released later this year.
In an interview Buffett talks about his 2016 tour which he explained was named “I Don’t Know” with the help of the Coral Reefers. The musical “Escape to Margaritaville” will debut at the La Jolla Playhouse in April/May 2017, then go on the road, and if it goes well he hopes to have it back here (on Broadway). When asked about Frank Bama, the character he plays on the show Hawaii Five O, he said it’s the last season and Frank may go out in a blaze of glory.
