Buffett performs at Wrigley Field

Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band performed last night at Wrigley Field in Chicago IL. Buffett last performed at Wrigley on September 4th and 5th in 2005.

Ryan Sandburg and Rick Sutcliffe from the Chicago Cubs brought in the World Series trophy from 2016 (photo courtesy the Margarillas).

The set list from the show is now available. Some of the highlights from the show included “Fins” (featuring Huey Lewis on harmonica), “Margaritaville” (featuring Frank Marshall on guitar), “This Hotel Room”, and “Tin Cup Chalice”.

  1. Totally agree with Kenny. Couldn’t hear Jimmy’s voice when he was talking to the crowd or when he was singing. People in charge of the sound should be ashamed of themselves!! Saw Billy Joel and other concerts at Wrigley and this was by far the worst sounding.

  2. Had a great time! This was one of the best shows I have ever been to! My number 36 falls in the top five I have seen. Thank you Jimmy and team for a job well done! Hope to see you all next year! You all sounded and looked great! Fins Up!

  3. I thought Jimmy was in good voice on Saturday night, but it was real hard to understand him when he was talking. My wife agreed; it was not just me and my “hard of hearing” problem.

  4. I was very, very unhappy with this show. We drove 3 1/2 hours to see this show, spend lots of money for the tickets and couldn’t hear anything thing but the band. I wish I know have to get at least some of my money back.

  5. Judging by comments the sound depended on where you were at. This was BY FAR the best one. Jimmy was super-charged and the whole crew delivered.
Huey and the News were tighter than Tupperware and gave a super solid performance.
A tip of the hat to Mr Myers, a local smokin’ reggae band for winding us up for the night ahead!
One of my best night ever!
