From the Orlando Business Journal: “Margaritaville Resort Orlando’s latest restaurant to open this month”
Central Florida’s newest vacation destination, Margaritaville Resort Orlando, is ready to turn the volume up to 11 with its latest dining option.
The destination will welcome the new 6,500-square-foot Rock & Brews Restaurant on Oct. 29 at the resort’s Sunset Walk retail/dining/entertainment district. Rock & Brews is a concept from KISS superstars Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons and their franchise partners R&B Florida LLC.
“This is a family-friendly restaurant, and you can bring your dog — seriously, bring your dog. We will give him dog beer or water — yes, we will,” said Simmons, about the best way to describe the restaurant.
Margaritaville’s 200,000-square-foot Sunset Walk retail center will be home to many tenants including a Studio Movie Grill, GameTime, a Rascal Flatts restaurant, the KISS Rock & Brews, Skechers, Bahama Bucks Original Shaved Ice Co., Avalon Day Spa, Café Rio, Cold Stone Creamery, Paradise Spirits & Wine and BurgerFi.
Margaritaville Resort Orlando, which is being developed by Encore Capital Management, is expected to radically transform Kissimmee’s iconic U.S. Highway 192 tourist corridor when it opens later this year. The resort will boost Central Florida’s lodging and activities, and should spur more capital investment here. Orlando’s $70 billion tourism industry — the region’s main economic engine — draws 72 million visitors annually.
