Margaritaville Beach House to open Nov 15th

From Attractions Magazine: Margaritaville Beach House in Key West has undergone a multi-million-dollar renovation, and is now taking reservations ahead of its official debut on Nov. 15. Located along Key West’s largest beach, the resort was formerly the Barbary Beach House Key West, now rebranded and upgraded with Margaritaville’s family-friendly style and amenities.

Among the expanded features for the Key West hotel are the restaurant and bar concept, Tin Cup Chalice Bar & Chill, because it’s “always five o’clock somewhere.” The poolside outlet serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus drinks and desserts.

With its oceanfront views, the resort consists of 186 large suites, pet-friendly rooms, a 24-hour fitness center, daily refreshments, children’s activities and lawn games, and easy access to Smather’s Beach.

Guests will also appreciate the lagoon-style swimming pool with poolside entertainment, plus lounging hammocks dotted throughout the grounds.

General Manager Jeremy DaSilva said, “Key West is the perfect location for our new Margaritaville destination, providing guests with a relaxing oasis to escape, unwind, and enjoy the laid-back lifestyle. We’re excited to welcome travelers from around the world to experience the Margaritaville state of mind and the resort’s superlative service and stellar offerings.”

  1. Gee, nothing like going to Key West to stay in some phony Key West. Guess the Margaritaville Resort at Mallory Dock was a spectacular success. . .once it re-branded itself as Opal.
