Jimmy’s Message to the Fans

From Margaritaville.com: A Message From Jimmy – A special video message from Jimmy from down-under.

“Hey, everybody. It’s Jimmy from Sydney on the other side of the fall.” So begins Jimmy Buffett’s video message to fans posted on his website last night. The singer took a tumble while performing Down Under Tuesday night and was hospitalized after suffering a head injury and a few scrapes. He thanked fans for their outpouring of support. “I basically was overwhelmed by the fact that so many people were concerned about my well-being.”

In the video, he wears a bandage on his right elbow and arm and removes his cap to show the injury to his head. “I’m on the mend. Unfortunately, we can’t do the show in Auckland (New Zealand). I’m just not quite up to it, as you can tell.”

Another Video from the CMT Crossroads Show

From CMT “Jimmy Buffett, Zac Brown Band Reach Fever Pitch“: Just ahead of Friday’s (March 19) premiere of CMT Crossroads: Jimmy Buffett and Zac Brown Band, check out their enthusiastic collaboration on “Free/Into the Mystic.” Brown often performs a medley of his “Free” and Van Morrison’s classic “Into the Mystic” in concert, but here it takes on a giant new fullness with the addition of Buffett and his Coral Reefer Band. As the easygoing song swells to truly epic proportions, the two groups reach a collaborative fever pitch just as the country/jam rock/reggae mix peaks. Since both bands are used to that mix — with one foot on the beach and one in a pine forest — this could be one of the most natural Crossroads pairings yet.
