I finished and I wasn't last :D :D 662 out of 680 It took 2 hours and 40 minutes, but I managed to finish the half-marathon (13.2 miles) Saturday!!! My pace towards the end was terrible - my legs started cramping at mile 11 but I walked them off and ran the last mile. Nowhere to go but up from here !

Just finished "Native Tongue" by Carl Hiaasen.

This Saturday (March 10th), I'm running a 1/2 marathon in Charlotte. I'm getting a little nervous because this is only my third race ever (The other two were over 2 years ago). Wish me luck, I'm going to need it.

Conroy does tend to get very wordy in his descriptions of the landscape. Sometimes, you need a dictionary with you when you read Conroy because he can pull some words out thin air.
