hmmmm... happy thoughts.... I'm gonna be in Charlotte Saturday, that's a happy thought! I heard there's still tickets available.....

I got lucky last year and got tix to the Merriweather show the day before. Of course I tried ticketmaster about 15 times a day for a month before I got them, but if you are persistant (and have an understanding boss) you could get lucky!

Camden, 1997 (I think). We had lawn seats and it poured rain. We all got soaked. Some nice lady sitting behind us put her poncho over our heads so we wouldn't get soaked. A good time was had by all.... The next year we went back to Camden and had seats in the pavillion. Naturally it didn't rain, but...

Ours was WDWGDAS but we told them it was Why Don't We Get Lunch at School (heard Buffett refer to it that way at a concert) of course they were too smart and told us that they KNEW it was Why Don't We Get Drunk at School.....

I don't know about anything planned in the area yet. Sometimes the local PH clubs will post something on the site or on their local web site. We're just a small group of 4 and I don't know how early we'll get there since I had the bright idea that my hubby and our friend should go play golf. I'm hop...

Wow! I don't think he deserves tickets. We try to go to as many shows as we can, and I don't think anyone has the right to tell us that we can't spend our money or our time the way we want. Next thing he'll be telling us we can't take our keets because they're taking tickets away from him!

Does anyone know what time they will open the parking lot in Charlotte and if they are allowing us to tailgate?

It's a hard thing to do if you are expecting paying patrons. The name has to be catchy enough to attract non-parrotheads but have a meaning for us parrotheads to draw us in too.....

It's pretty much been open, it's just a bar we built on our back deck, but we wanted a name for it. We're in the process of making signs for our gate and for the top of the small structure we built around it. I'll have to post a picture of it when I get a good one.

Wow those are all great suggestions, keep them coming, I'm going to pass them by my hubby this weekend and see what he thinks. Unfortunately I mentioned Terrapin Tavern (he went to U of Md.) and he really likes that one, but I really wanted a Buffett theme.

We need help naming the bar we built in our yard. It's sort of like a tiki bar with tacky lights, palm trees, flamingos, parrots and pictures of Buffett scattered around. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

margarita_girl, we went two years ago and we took the train (NJ transit) from Trenton then walked to rockafeller center. We got there at about 10:30 and were "near" the front. NJ transit was really inexpensive (as opposed to amtrak) parking was near by and it worked well for us. Be prepare...
