At least it's not turning into a tacky tourist area such as Myrtle Beach with an Eagles and Wings on every corner. Well, most of the area anyhow since AB has it's fair share of those type of stores geared strictly towards tourists. I'm headed elsewhere as well but not because of the gentrification ...

Barometer Soup & Floridays

I think these are my two very favorites (though it's so hard to narrow down, really). I love Blue Heaven Rendezvous on Barometer and Creola on Floridays.

Prince of Tides is a fantastic song; another tribute to his literary tastes. Pat Conroy, the king of the lowcountry fiction genre, wrote this amazing book whose essence is lyricised in Jimmy's music. "And beach music, beach music, beach music just plays on..." My favorite book of all time...
