Re: Outer Banks

I have been there in April, June, July, August, September, and (late) October. I have never been run off by a hurricane, but I know plenty of people who have. I don't know much about hotel rates, but house rental prices drop dramatically off-season.

Still in wonderment over these "self-guided bikes."

Re: NFL 2012 Season

Speaking of the Patriots, all I can say is that people who think 12 win seasons and trips to the AFC Championship are a failure are about on the same level of retaaahdedness as the who still bring up spy gate. Someone in this thread asked "where are the Patriots fans?" I ask where are all the: Wash...

Re: Driving from Fort Lauderdale to Key West.

If you are accustomed to driving in the N.E. or California, you probably expect bad traffic at any of those times. But driving thru S.Fla wil not be like going thru Boston or DC on a Friday. I visited S.Fla (drivng down to Key West) in early-mid February, and I did not encounter much traffic. It's t...

[PS: Andouille is findable, but it comes and goes around here. I would try Trader Joe's, Wegman's, Whole Foods, or Harris Teeter, as opposed to Giant or Safeway.]

Re: At least 26 dead in shooting at CT elementary school

Sorry. I haven't been able to click this thread until now. Too much grief. Too much anger. I also boycotted the TV news (Hate that sh!+), just heard about it from friends, and from my kids' school. May God give his blessings to the victims and survivors, give them peace and strength. I don't know wh...

Re: 12/12/12 Concert in MSG

Chris Martin (Coldplay) and Michael Stipe (REM) were wonderful together. Sir Paul was OK, but his one song with 'Nirvana' was underwhelming although Dave Grohl looked like he was enjoying himself immensely behind the drums. The Who sounded good but Roger Daltrey looks like Tom Jones. Billy Joel stil...

It took me a minute to catch my breath after Ngata took RGIII down. When i saw his knee whip on the replay, I was sure he would be out for the season.

Get well soon, Robert. (Well done, Kirk.)
