If it stays on current course should be all good. The projected path has it off the coast of NY by Friday

Re: encores!

sonofabeach--that's my biggest complaint with RadioMargaritaville. Even before Encores they always pushed live versions of songs. It's worse now. I listen alot and never hear the studio cuts of the songs I want to hear.

Re: Set Lists

congobill and changing channels, I agree with you. I am all about less "101" songs. It is great hearing "Smart Woman in a Real Short Skirt" in Nashville even though the ladies screwed up their queue. I dont know if I qualify as an Old School Phan since I only started listening in...

Re: Set Lists

Overall the set lists for Big Top have been great!!! they will never be perfect and he will always play Buffett 101 songs because thats what gets the masses in the seats(along with the tailgate experience). as long as he pulls some rarer or little played songs from the vault it will be a great year....

definitely one of the best set lists in a long time. Buffett songs alone were great and ZB was a nice addition

Re: encores!

I went to a Wal-Mart last tuesday and they had nothing....went to a different one today and picked it up. I stated before I could die happy if I heard Death of an Unpopular Poet and was fortunate enough to be at the Star Lake(Pgh) show. It's so rare that he plays it. Now I can hear it live again whe...

Re: encores!

I should have known that. I was at that year's show. too many cocktails I guess... As a newbie trying to catch up on 35+ years of music I have found the lyrics database on BN and jokelben to be a godsend. I look up the song I want to hear on the database and see when it was played. Then I go to joke...

I like Jamaica Farewell. the fact that it is sped up alot from when Belafonte did it seems to fit. Also like Begonias and City of New Orleans

Re: A Question for Longtime Parrotheads

I agree with PA . I became a fan in 94 or so and except for a few exceptions, his stongest work in IMHO is pre-Fruitcakes. Dont get me wrong, there are great cuts on many of the newest cd's but for me he was his strongest album wise as you go back through the years.

Re: your top 5 favorite Buffett songs

I agree it changes often but these seem to always be near the top or always in my top 10 1) Death of an Unpopular Poet(seeing him close Star Lake with it a few years ago just solidified this as #1) 2) Banana Republics 3) Thats What Living is to me. 4) Take Another Road and Changing Channels--tie :) ...
