Re: BVI accomidations suggestions
We stayed at Fort Recovery on Tortola. Its off the beaten path which was fine by us. As long as you have a car, getting into town is no problem. Sopers Hole is nearby and the Jolly Roger rest/bar. It is kind of pricey, but we enjoyed it very much.

Re: I got a PBS Mind in an MTV World (Pittsburgh Concert/Punks)
First of all...not ALL young people are douchebags like the ones you encountered. Sadly though, you're gonna encounter a few no matter where you go anymore. You're also going to encounter older douchebags too. I've found that the older I get, the less appealing the lawn is to me. This year I opted f...

Re: BVI Charters
Have you chartered a sailboat in BVI with any company other then Moorings. I may go with them but would love to save a bit of money. Are there other reputable companies to go with? What are some good message boards to research this? The BVI's, charter sailboat and saving money just dont seem to go ...

Re: Official A1A Sign source?
AHA !!! It came to me.....Vulcan Industries. Google them, I'm almost positive that was the name of the company. I used to take mine to the shows with me, but got tired of saying,..."sorry it's NOT for sale". The hurricane evacuation rt sign is bolted onto my pool house aka my shed. The A1A...

Re: Official A1A Sign source?
Yes it's possible to get one legally. Many years ago I ordered an A1A sign, mile marker 0, and a hurricane evacuation route sign. I don't remember the name of the company, but they are located in either Alabama or Mississippi. They are the company that makes them for the Florida Dept of Transportati...

Mr. Buffett has sunk to a new low. I've put up, in the past, with all the crap he sells, but this......... I just can't believe it.

Re: Gulf Coast Concert, no real relief for the Gulf.
I'm not trying to start anything here but........... If Buffett is being paid $100,000 for this show....and wants to actually do something positive for this tragedy ( and yes it is a tragedy- not only because of the unfixable damage to the Gulf coast, and the unknown number of animal deaths, and los...

I had a silver 84 Fiero.......loved it. Only one headlight stayed open all the time. Kinda wish I still had that car.sonofabeach wrote:I had a red 84 Pontiac Fiero with the head lights always open and I liked it.
Only problem for me was, as a teen I had nowhere to put my 12 inch woofers.

Yeah, sorry I should have mentioned the Pittsburgh show. I tried REFUGEE and Mojo, and just about everything else I could come up with. No luck. Oh well, guess I can wait till Monday when they go on sale. Thanks anyway.

I really really really like that. I think it looks better than the one Martin is selling now. Very nice job. My beater axe is a Big Baby Taylor...if I send it to ya, you think you could do that to it? :D When you anchor off of Tortola, make sure to hit Quito's, and say hi from me. Man I love the BVI...

Re: Guitar Owners / Players...a question
On my Strat I use Fender strings. The Schecter gets Ernie Balls, and my Taylor acoustic gets nothing but Elixers.
Strings are a personal preference for all guitar players. Best to try a few different ones and stick with what YOU like best.

Depends...you on a mac or a pc? On a pc, audacity seems to be the most popular choice. Easy to use and does just about everything you would want done. Plus it's FREE !! Mac's come with garageband pre installed. I've heard good things about it too. I don't use either......I dont own a mac, and my gui...
