Re: Time for PI Thursday @ the MSC

I look at the snow and think "why?"

If I was there I would be thinking "I gotta go where it's warm".

Re: Holy Wind Batman MONDAY @ the MSC

[ Can we settle for the 80's and 90's? :) I love a good Shiraz :) I sometimes think a good steady weather pattern would be good, but what would have to complain about then? The shiraz made here in the Barossa Valley consistently wins the outright best in world wide wine competitions and gradings. (...

Re: Holy Wind Batman MONDAY @ the MSC

Hi there! We got some good health news today, then moved some money at the bank. The young woman waiting on us was the granddaughter of my elementary principal who I later worked under. I like it warm, but not that warm, Rabz! To be honest Bill, this spell of weather is kind of expected, just not s...

Re: Holy Wind Batman MONDAY @ the MSC

Day 5, or is it 6?, of a severe heatwave warning. At least two more days until the next cooler change. Although today is forecast to be cooler than the past 5 or 6 days. It'll only get to 100°F today, not 105 or 106! So much for summer being over... On the bright side the 2024 late pick shiraz is go...

Cheers Bill.

Much appreciated. They are roughly 14"x14" I guess, so not overwhelmingly large when together.

Re: Soaking SATURDAY@ the MSC

Hi there! I finally framed a small beach painting for the side room. I got a premade frame at Hobby Lobby at half off. Sorry for all the pain, Tammy. Hey Bill, Speaking of paintings and frames, a few years ago, for our tenth wedding anniversary an artist friend gifted us the pair of paintings below...

Re: Soaking SATURDAY@ the MSC

Hot Hot Hot. I am the King of Somewhere HOT! Although it is autumn here, summer has finally arrived. We are having more than a week of 105°F days, it hasn't rained since January 26th and that was only one or two points. The nights aren't getting below 77°F and worst of all the humidity is staying up...

Re: Welcome to March FRIDAY@ the MSC

Good morning BN. I love March! The days get longer and the sun gets stronger. Good Morning, I hate March! The days get shorter and the sun fades. Also, it means harvest and vintage kick off around here. I am off handpicking and crushing grapes today, at https://www.whistlerwines.com.au/ I will be s...

I just got tickets to 2 concerts, both are bands I've never seen. George Thorogood & The Destroyers here at the Carolina Opry Theater in April and The Steve Miller Band at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center in June. My next task is to make a hotel reservation in North Charleston so I d...

Re: It's a cold Saturday @ the MSC

Stinkin' hot here. Hot Hot Hot as someone once said. 100°F+ days from yesterday (Saturday) to next Friday. Nights are forecast to be OK, getting down to around 68°F each night, so a little relief. Still, I'll take that over cold and snow any day and twice on Sundays. :D A bit of a blast from the pas...

Evening, peeps. :wench: Storm is raging up here, downpours coming in waves and still crazy windy, 50+mph gusts. :o Made a slow-cooker gumbo that smells divine and settling in with the fireplace and football. Happy Saturday, y’all, stay safe and dry! 8) Recipe? (please please please please)

That would keep a bunch of snake phobs I know in soiled linen. We only have 2 poisonous snakes in my state and one is so benign, you have to step on it to get bit. We are always on the lookout (obviously) but try not to think about it. Mrs Rabz has a snake phobia from growing up on farms and ...

Re: Thursday @ the MSC

It just ticked over to 105°F. We have had a lot of unseasonable rain and storms lately - not as bad as some places though. It has been enough, when coupled with the heat, to send the weeds into overdrive. I really should get the big mower and the line trimmer out to get rid of the knee deep weeds in...

Good morning BN. The east got or will get weather today. Linda and Big John may need to shovel later. Oh yeah, it's snowing pretty good now. I've got my assortment of shovels on standby, the snowblower brought around to the front of the house, and a towel on the windshield of my car. So let me get ...

Hello from 2024 to all my mates over there in the land of the free (or at least reasonably cheap)!!

So far 2024 has been OK. The sun came up and the birdsong was loud.

Let's see if it can keep up the good work?

As we are a day ahead, I will wish you folks a Happy Gravy Day. This is a reference to a peculiarly Australian Christmas song "How to Make Gravy" by Paul Kelly (an Australian musical legend). The song opens with: Hello Dan, it's Joe here, I hope you're keeping well It's the 21st of Decembe...
