Re: Amarillo: The Lost Show

Hey Bicycle Bill, nor am i a road racer. I am more of a "I hope i finish" type rider, I have rode the 50 mile route a few times in the HHH, along with a few 100k's in this area, but I have never attempted the 100 mile, the HHH is a pretty flat ride, the biggest problem is the wind. I have ...

Re: Amarillo: The Lost Show

Thanks Gram, again, nice to have another Texan boarding the ol "lost show" ship. Kirk and i both caved in and set up some facebook pages to help us in contacting more people. As one of my son's friends posted on my page, "Welcome to 2011", that did sting a bit. Anyway, hopefully ...

Re: Amarillo: The Lost Show

That's ok conched, i enjoyed watching the videos anyway. Well, we have had no progress in our search, however, it has forced Kirk and I to get with the times and get a Facebook page. We are a little concerned about getting our feelings hurt if no one wants to be our friend. but sometimes you have to...

Re: Amarillo: The Lost Show

I just heard back from an ol Fraternity brother whose family has owned and run a chain of very successful music stores in and around Amarillo since the early 1900's. I had emailed him earlier this morning and he seems to recall his older sister, who went to high school with Kirk and I, going to see ...

Re: Amarillo: The Lost Show

Conched, that is some good detective work. Amarillo is a bit out of the way from OKC to Austin, but not that far. I want to think that the "lost show" was in the winter, but thinking is what caused all this in the first place, i am begining to wonder if it ever happened and this is just a ...

Well, we are taking on water fast. Found another radio personality from those days, he too has major memory loss. Still are hopeful that we will get a response from Phillip Fajardo. I just finished talking to a young man who attends WTAMU which is in Canyon, TX just south of Amarillo. He is going to...

Re: Amarillo: The Lost Show

well, our latest lead, like the others have left us empty handed. He was and still is a huge Buffett fan but like many of us who are old enough to have known who Jimmy Buffett was in 1975 and old enough to have a few beers as we belted out, " why don't we get drunk and screw", in our best ...

Re: Amarillo: The Lost Show

We have another feeler out. Located a gentleman who was a college disc jockey at the Amarillo College radio station. the station began in early 1975 and was known for playing music that no one else was playing on normal channels. He is still in radio so hopefully his memory has not failed him, or at...
