Re: New Radio Margaritaville DJ

Jasmine and Matt are both just awful. At least Matt knows about Jimmy. I'd love to know how she got the gig. I'm not a fan of Matt's by any means, but you're right, at least he has some knowledge about Jimmy and the RM playlist. I simply cannot find a single redeeming quality for Jasmine, though. S...

Re: Escape to Margaritaville

As a fan, I had low expectations when I went to see the musical in Houston. I ended up enjoying it. I liked how they intertwined song lyrics into the dialog. We kept looking at each other going "did you see what they did there?" I'm not for sure if the casual fan would catch that they did...

Re: Escape to Margaritaville

Saw it in Chicago back in November. Went in with minimal expectations, came out pleasantly surprised. It's a rather corny/cheesy plot, but the cast had great energy and were a lot of fun. That said, I wouldn't pay top dollar to go see it. They were struggling to sell tickets, so they offered hundred...

Re: Alpine Reopening

I know it's been speculated that they might be worried an Alpine show might take away from Wrigley attendance, but is there any concern the other way? If Jimmy only drew 16,000 last time, do we think he's maybe worried it'd be even less this year at Alpine? It's hard to take away from an attendance...

Re: Alpine Reopening

Alpine posted the following picture on their FB on 3/12. It shows The Dead, ZBB and Dave Matthews. Now Dave Matthews is playing two shows at Northerly Island in Chicago and one at Summerfest in Milwaukee. However, I do remember one year in the late 90s or early 2000s where DMB played Alpine and Sum...

Re: Alpine Reopening

Looking at Phish's summer tour schedule, it is very full, but scarily there is a empty spot the weekend of August 24-25. The weekend of the 17-19 they are in Watkins Glen, NY. Labor Day Weekend, they're near Denver. If you connect the dots, an Alpine show(s) the weekend of the 24-25 might be a reaso...

tropicalmindset wrote: March 13, 2018 1:47 pm Just got an email from Live Nation confirming that there will be one more show announced at Alpine this summer.

Would not confirm who, but think we all know who it is. I'm gonna go out and say August 25th instead of Labor Day
Please, please, PLEASE!!!

Re: Wrigley Field 2018

It was posted in the Alpine thread that Peter Mayer is playing in Iowa on September 1st, which makes Alpine a lot less likely for Labor Day Weekend.

PeoriaTom wrote: February 15, 2018 10:57 am Weird that neither of the two traditional epicenters of Parrothead fandom (Atlanta and Cincinnati) got a Saturday show. Scheduling conflicts?
Saturday shows at Riverbend have been rather uncommon of late. Last year's was the first Saturday show in several years.

I should mention that parking at this site is also free, at least it was in 2016.

Re: Chicago show

The date will be announced in the next day or two officially, but I can tell you with certainty it will be July 15.

The Cubs offer a FREE shuttle service now. Park at 3900 N. Rockwell, just off of Irving Park. Last bus leaves Wrigley an hour after the show.

I know I'm a brand new poster, so I (understandably) lack credibility, but I can tell you with certainty that it will be July 15. Tickets will go on sale this week.
