Doesn't it make anyone wonder that if Jimmy could...mute the original vocal track on Volcano and add a new vocal that that would mean he had access to the...master tape? MCA has those. Right? So how did that happen? Hmmmmmm Yeah, the master tapes are alive and well, they were professionally handele...

Yes, the last one put on vinyl was Lizard. Even then, MCA was obviously sending a message with these releases. Check out the inners... Well, there really aren't any! Both Hot Water and Lizard have clear plastic inner sleeves and lack printed lyrics, a commonality in Buffett recordings, and the CDs o...

I was really wondering myself if the "Gold" SYKBH actually sounded any better... I mean, it obviously wasn't a MFSL reissue as it dosen't have the border around the cover that reads "Original Master Recording", but it does have the original LP cover with just the title enlarged. ...

It would be neat if an entire set was an entire album in it's original sequence, like Elton John did for Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy.

sigh... There are so many Buffett related music products that are out there waiting to be made. The CD reissues, the DVDs of not only Tales and Live by The Bay, but how about another full concert instead of the teases like Mini Matinee and the bonus DVDs that came with Live in Hawaii and Fenway? Als...

I still have to say that I could go for a 100% Buffett/McAnnaly album. Think of the songs they wrote together, When the Coast is Clear, Love in the Library, Coast of Carolina etc.

I could afford the ticket(s), but it’s still nonetheless a big decision to make whether to go or not, but I haven’t even been presented with the decision yet as no Florida dates have been announced at the time.

Floridays has always been one of my favorites in the entire Buffett catalogue, and in my opinion one of his greatest hidden treasures, despite it being a title track. The original version is so atmospheric and that attribute combined with the lyrics (which gives me visions on the some of the greater...

All re-recordings Jimmy has done have been interesting and a nice option to have indeed, but for some reason I’m not one for the whole remake thing. Even with The Captain and the Kid and In The Shelter, which have been made with studio recordings three times total, the versions I enjoy the most are ...

The Living and Dying in 3/4 Time version of Saxophones from 1974 does have horns on it: Horns on "Saxophones" by Billy Puett Right from the LINER NOTES! Not as many and not that large of a role as they have on the Meet Me In Margaritaville version, but they were there at the ...

I feel it’s a good move and an excellent choice to drop them, no offense to the musicians. Sure, songs such as Fruitcakes and Saxophones will probably have to be dropped altogether, but I think songs that horn parts were later added to like Margaretville, Fins, Volcano etc. will fare better without ...

It is just like the cover of the album....same size...probably shiny cardstock, and on the back it has Jimmy Buffett lettered in purple with a turqouis background written 3 times. Not very impressive, but it was unique from all the albums I saw like this. That’s very strange, you would think they w...
