Re: How Many More JB Concerts Will You Attend?

I just saw him last Thursday at the San Jose show and walked out thinking exactly this. My first concert was 1982 actually before the parrotthead infusion. Since 1986 I have gone to almost every Bay Area show. Thinking back every show is really different with venues, crowds, and which friends we go ...

Re: Who's going to Concord, CA (5/19)?

Thanks to all who put together the get together, we drove up from San Jose early to miss the traffic and stopped by AJ's for a drink. Concord seemed much more low key that Shoreline, a bit of tailgating, no mad rush to the lawn, or we missed it, and still had front row dead center lawn, plus we foll...

Thank you Sunlover...the quality is great. Funny story, played it in the car (softly) the weekend after the concert on a wine tasting tour with part of our concert group. My friends wife, not realizing what she was listening to, said she wished she could hear the new lyrics to Fruitcakes that he did...

A few choices from the country side:

More Than a Margarita...Brooks and Dunn
Mexican Minute...B & D
12 Rounds (of Jose Curevo)... Tracy Byrd
No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem...Chesney's (copy of Jimmy style)

These are all good listens also ...kind of in the Jerry Jeff Walker style

concert tickets...how does this work?

For the Santa Barbara concert both my brother and I tried ticketmaster as soon as tickets went on sale and, of course, neither of us got tickets. I just happened to find 243 different tickets for sale for this concert on a Las Vegas tickets website. How can they get that many tickets in the first 20...

Scanning Ebay for the Shoreline concert tickets showed that a lot of ticket brokers from around the nation lost a lot of money. One $126 ticket went for $1.50. The early April date made the show iffy with all of the rain in Cal. Maybe now the tickets will be available to fans directly and not throug...

Years between concerts?

I have a question for some of the long time parrottheads. Did Buffett tour between 1981 and 1986 and between 1986 and 1993? Specifically I'm looking for concerts in No. California. Any memories?

The memory is a bit fuzzy but I think he played the Beatles medley "Golden Slumbers, Carry That Weight, and End at Shoreline back in the '90's. Does anyone else remember this? Or were the Margaritas that good.

I like the idea of mailing out the tickets within a short time span of the concerts, as that would make it tough on scalpers from out of the area. On the devious side, what would happen if some phoney Ebay buyers bid up the prices and then not paid...negative feedback? The scalpers might get worried.

Putting in my vote before this years show in San Jose confirmed the vote. Ending the show with "A Pirate Looks At Forty" was the best. Leaving the Arena with that song still spining in my head was like being on cloud nine.
