Mid to late 70s in Amarillo Texas. Seems like he opened for Jerry Jeff Walker. Or maybe it was the other way around. It really didn't matter since they were both onstage most of the time. Now that I think about it it had to be before 1977 since I was single!

It is Turks Head! They have light and dark. The light is the reason I never made it to the game show site! I know exactly what you mean about the light! I pretty much missed a Friday afternoon because of it. But I sobered up just in time for a night of serious rum drinking back on the Sea Dancer! Joe

The huts are still there. McGee is correct about the sad state of repair. There is a lot of litter and graffiti and empty beverage containers. But still cool. The sand on the beach is unbelievable. It is hard to walk on brcause it is so soft. Like walking on sugar. Can't say anything about the drive...
