Beautiful day here in California’s Sierra Nevada foothills. Garden work, mostly weeding, on the schedule. Ran across two BN type stories some might be interested in. First, great read about Jazz Fest here: https://www.npr.org/2019/05/04/720169783/for-50-years-quint-davis-has-never-let-new-orleans-ja...

Today started sunny and will turn to rain and possibly snow later this afternoon and evening. Meeting a friend from high school and his wife for a wine and food event this afternoon. Looking forward to that. Weekends scream by these days.

We had our customer appreciation dinner at Daytona a couple weeks ago. Could not believe how big that place was; grandstand, motorhome lots, garages, etc.. Snow, snow and more low snow here today. Snowed in with our grandson. We’ve been on a couple snow expedition hikes, made a few snowmen, threw sn...

Rainy NO CAL greeting with snow in the forecast. Fed the birds, I have three feaders; suet, thistle seed and regular wild bird seed. Plus we ground feed the doves, juncos and towhees. Supposed to get up to a foot of snow later today and then a hard freeze. We’ll watch the NFFL, National Fantasy Foot...

First time and still my favorite, Shoreline Amphitheater. Lawn seats by the Jumbotron, good sound and take it all in. Also, really thought the sound system at MGM in Vegas was very good too. Our seats were way closer to the roof than the stage , so the sound quality became one of the redeeming quali...

Good day to you! Beautiful Sunday AM and the SF Chronicle has a Buffett quote in a baseball story from Tim Flannery; “ And in closing, Flannery quotes the great Jimmy Buffett: “Don’t try to describe the ocean if you’ve never seen it.“. Flannery was talking of hitting home runs. https://www.sfgate.co...
