It's hard to explain how a few precious things
Seem to follow throughout all our lives
After all's said and done I was watching my son
Sleeping there with my bear by his side
So I tucked him in, kissed him
And as I was going
I swear that old bear whispered
Boy, welcome home!
Believe me if you can ...

Re: 2009 Baseball Season
Better then some shlub named Bruney.
I'm not a Yankees fan but I think their 8th inning guy is Phil Hughes, not Bruney.
Bruney may not even make the postseason roster. Hughes is their setup man.
But to go back a few posts, I agree Boston has just as good a chance as any in October ...

Just to add a Yankees fan's perspective
Wow, this thread has gotten quiet without Jon & I around!!!
To review trade-"deadline" day....

Re: 2009 Baseball Season
Funny reading the Sox fans debating whether or not to go after Doc Halladay. It reminds me of the debate whether or not the Yankees should have traded Melky Cabrera and Phil Hughes for Johan Santana a couple of years ago. I would think that the Jays would have a higher asking price for the Yankees ...

Re: 2009 Baseball Season
Question. Last night's Red Sox game was called after 5 1/2 (that's what I heard -- 5 1/2) innings. Florida was awarded the win. I know that is an official game, however, since the Sox were the home team and were behind, shouldn't the game been at least suspended and resumed later? What's the ...

Re: A dangerous new weapon for young girls....
I think the underlying question in this case is not whether or not the trimmer could be used as a weapon, but why is the school conducting random searches? I graduated high school only a few years ago, and they definitely did not randomly search students' backpacks or girls' purses. Is there some ...

Re: 2009 Baseball Season
Boston media is reporting that some fairly major offers have come in for Clay Buccholtz in the past couple weeks. Buccholtz has a 0.46 Spring Training ERA and, according to Peter Gammons and Baseball America could be the number 1 starter on 8 MLB teams (some sources would argue more than 10). With ...

Re: New album - release date?
I was under the impression that this thread is more about how Jimmy's got some new songs and has been saying he's got enough for a new album and that was 2 years ago or whatever so where the hell is it? I don't think it had or has anything to do with the so-called acoustic album that may or might ...
